When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information to create and manage your account.

  • Meal plans and schedules

  • Dietary preferences and allergies

Crash Data & Diagnostics

We automatically collect crash reports, performance metrics, and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix issues with the Service. This data may include device type, operating system version, app version, and technical information about the error or performance issue. This data is associated with your account to help us provide support but is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Trough Pro, we collect purchase and subscription status information to manage your access to premium features. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) — we do not collect or store your payment card details.

Device Information

When you use our mobile app, we may collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to send you meal reminders and other notifications you've enabled.

Camera and Photos

If you use our receipt scanning or barcode scanning features, we temporarily process images from your camera. These images are sent to our servers for processing and are not stored permanently.

Our Service integrates with:

  • Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In: For authentication
  • Instacart: For grocery ordering (optional)
  • Open Food Facts: For barcode product lookup
  • Sentry: For crash reporting and performance monitoring to help us identify and fix issues
  • RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions and purchase validation

These services have their own privacy policies that govern their use of your data.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
